Walk The Walk
This walk the walk is most certainly a double entendre, and I will explain why. The statement is used to encourage us or to direct us to be the example, to actually do what we say and to be in alignment with ourselves, our values, and to be “in it”, not just saying we are in it. I think we all agree this is important to feeling connected to what we do, who we are, and how we experience both life and business.
While we walk the walk, we also can feel not ready.
We can feel not motivated, not worthy, and not aligned (this is the truth behind the beautiful photos we post on Social Media). The key is to acknowledge it and move forward with belief, confidence, and a positive heart and mindset. The more we “walk the walk” the more we are grounded and connected to what we are doing.
Imposter Syndrome is a real thing.
There are so many women out there that feel it. Too many are branding themselves in a way that they have not even reached, but regardless are stepping into it. I think it is both brave and bold. But also I think there needs to be more transparency, more credibility, and more TRUTH. We are not helping women if we are just promoting ourselves as the “IT” girl. She does not exist and no one on this earth can help you more than your own inner wisdom. TRUTH!
The other message here is completely different (hence the double entendre).
it is the concept of keep moving, and the self care and healthy work of walking outside each day. In life, we need to keep moving (even if we need to be still, take a break or regroup), following that we just need to step forward, and put one foot in front of the other. Forward momentum keeps us from feeling stuck. it keeps us moving, and it keeps us open and engaged.
Likewise, a daily walk outside with fresh air fills us up. it moves our energy and helps us raise our vibration. This is so simple and so basic. Yet when it comes to success, people are spending more time talking about algorithms than alignment, self care tools, and techniques to clear your mind, and opportunities for literally, a breath of fresh air.
I am blessed to be able to walk the beach most every day.
I pray I never take that for granted. Ironically as I write this it is raining. Yes, walking in the rain can be therapeutic, but not smart when I have a video call. So the outside walk will not happen today based on the weather and my schedule. This is an important tool for me to reset, move energy, feel good, and extra bonus when the sun is shining.
But some days are cloudy, and that is a perfect reminder that this is life. Life is both sunny and cloudy, but WE can always choose to shine. Many times I listen to a Podcast, and for shorter walks, I just take in the sounds. On every walk I at some point capture the beauty, mindfully breath in the fresh air, and have a sense of gratitude for what otherwise is part of my routine.
Let this inspire you to “walk the walk”.
Let it inspire you to take action that is aligned with your dreams, your goals, and the higher self. It is not a perfect line, so be okay with falling down. We all do, and it is just as rewarding to get back up. That is where the magic lies.
Also, let this inspire you to get more time to get outside and walk, even if it is 10 to 15 minutes a day. It is free. it can be done at any time. It can be alone, with a friend, or with your fur babies. If you are doing all of the above throughout the week, that is even better.
Put one foot in front of the other and blaze your own trail!
